This shows the infamous Billabong sponsored Wave Hunter Mike Parson’s catching the wave he is famous for. The footage was taken from a nearby helicopter as he surfed the 65 foot wave at Jaws in Hawaii. Recognition taking over? The footage is used in the opening scene in Billabong Odyssey.

In 2008 Parsons went on to beat his own records at Cortez Bank on January 5, when he was photographed surfing a wave that the Billabong XXL judged to be over 70+ feet. This lines the legendary Parsons up for claiming the Guinness World Record of biggest wave ever surfed.
